The Hit Factory: Making Your Music Make Money
Eric Beall has appeared as a panelist or featured speaker at all of the major music conferences, including SXSW, Winter Music Conference, CMJ, Atlantis, ASCAP’s “I Create Music” EXPO, Amsterdam Dance Event, and many others. He has also appeared at events sponsored by ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, The Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, Belmont College, Berklee College of Music, New York University, Five Towns College, and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. He is available to lead a Master Class or Workshop, or to appear as a guest speaker or panelist at your music event.
This one-day workshop led by author and industry insider Eric Beall takes a strategic approach to building your songwriting business. It will focus on understanding your market and developing your brand, turning your songs into hits, and selling those hits to the people that need them.
Songs by workshop attendees will be reviewed and all are encouraged to either bring their song recordings on an iPod or a CD.

You’ll develop your own publicity plan, submit your songs to the instructor for critique, and register your songs with the copyright office. You’ll also learn how to market and promote your compositions and writers by developing effective pitch and promotion strategies, and discover how to turn that stack of demos and lyrics into a real, independent business.
